the canal house
the canal house
Narrowboats moored outside the Canal House in the Gas Street Basin Wharf, situated in the city of Birmingham.
The Canal house, now a vibrant restaurant, was inspired by James Brindley, a notable engineer of the 18th century. The site was originally occupied by factories at the height of Birmingham`s industrial period; a place where narrow boats picked up and off-loaded their goods - it was the old wharf terminus of the Birmingham canal.
